EATING PLANT BASED CAN HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS

If you move towards more veggies, fruits, beans, legumes, whole grains, you can eat loads without having to worry so much about the calories. 

All these foods are nutrient dense, but have lower calories than oils, dairy products and animal products.

It's annoying, but true. As we get older, our metabolisms naturally slow down. And as our hormone levels drop, especially estrogen, we naturally hold onto more fat, hence the over 40 belly fat creeping on.

When you eat animal products, you're essentially getting protein and fat. But if you move towards beans, legumes, and pulses, you're getting protein and fibre. Fibre is the key to keeping everything moving through (and out) of your body, and keeping the little guys in your microbiome (gut bacteria) happy. 

The  more of these little guys you have in your gut, the more they go around  cleaning the 'rust' out of all your cells. The 'rust' (or free  radicals) is what can eventually develop into inflammation leading to  all sorts of illnesses including cancers. 

Fruits and vegetables also feed these little guys creating the antioxidants to go around cleaning up your body.

So go steady on the oils....although  certain oils like Extra Virgin Olive Oil, are good for you, you only  need about 1 tablespoon a day, and as you can see from the picture it's super high in  calories.

So fill up with veggies, fruits, beans, whole grains, with a few nuts and seeds.

You don't have to count calories when you eat this way, and you should also feel satiated after each meal.

Once we started eating this way, our weight can gradually drop down to a place we’re really happy with, without having to think about it too much, and many of our Club Spirit Members are experiencing these results.
