Dr. Clare Searle and Sara Eker came together to build Club Spirit, an online, holistic menopause treatment clinic to help women struggling through the menopause.

Dr. Clare recognised that prescribing MHT (Menopause Hormone Therapy) alone, although helpful, is not a magic fix.

Sara recognised that clients on Fitness & Nutrition programmes often needed the help of some MHT too.

Thus, Club Spirit was born… Menopause Fitness, Nutrition and MHT advice all in one place.

Dr Clare Searle is one of the UK's top Menopause Specialist qualified doctors. She has worked in the gynaecology service for over 12 years, has sat on a number of NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidance committees, and trains other doctors within the menopause field. She has a long-term passion to improve women’s health through the menopause.

She is also a working mum going through the menopause transition herself.


SARA EKER

Menopause Fitness, Nutrition & Mindset Coach

Sara trained as a Pilates teacher with Body Control, and as a Fitness Instructor with the YMCA. She also has a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology where she specialised in Exercise Psychology, and an SNHS Diploma in Holistic Nutrition, and is an Affiliate Member of the British Menopause Society.

As a 51 year old working mother going through the menopause herself, she’s worked hard to find ways to reduce her own menopause symptoms, maintain a healthy weight, and stay positive and motivated at this challenging time of life. She can show you how do all this inside Club Spirit.

    Resident Nurse (RN BSc (Hons) QN) with 19 years experience working in various primary healthcare settings, including female and sexual health.

    Katie works at an advanced level within Rapid Response and is a Queen's Nurse. Her interest in menopause health and has been instrumental in setting up community groups for women to educate, support and signpost onto the most appropriate service to meet their menopausal needs.

    She’s passionate about supporting and educating women to overcome menopausal health issues, and manage their midlife physically, mentally and emotionally.

  • LIZ ELEY

    Liz's yoga journey started in 1992 and her love of this transformative practice led her to train as a teacher and qualify in 2007.

    Liz has studied Yoga for Menopause, and teaches a slow, deep dynamic form of yoga, with attention to detail and alignment to create an environment of balance within the body.

    She always works to cultivate an awareness of the breath whether she is teaching a strong flowing practice, or a more restorative replenishing class. She believes that a truly rounded yoga practice should meet the physical, emotional and energetic needs of the student.

  • JANE APPLEYARD

    Pelvic health physiotherapist with experience of helping thousands of women over 20+ years using an evidence-based approach to care.

    Jane is on a mission—to demystify pelvic health. Her career has taken her in many different directions; a NHS clinical lead for a Continence Advisory Service, presented at national conferences, set up an independent clinic, and supervised and trained other health care professionals. An affiliate member of the Pelvic and Obstetric Gynaecological Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and has completed training in the Balint Approach to Psychosexual Medicine.

  • IBBI LIDSTONE

    Ibbi is a skin specialist and a member of BABTAC (British Association Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology) and has a CIBTAC level 4 qualification as an aesthetic practitioner.

    She’s trained in clinical aromatherapy at The Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy in 2011. Has worked extensively with various plant and essential oils with a focus on strengthening the skin's barrier function, protecting and enhancing general skin health.

    She’s also trained in advanced skin studies and skin assessment to understand and learn about the physiology of skin in health and disease.

  • DR. TONY SURKES

    Dentist (BDS, LDS RCS, Dip F. Od.) with an interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics

    Dr. Tony Surkes has been a partner of the Wycombe Dental Centre practice since 1995. He advises on any issues with your teeth, gums, and facial bone structure through thee menopause.
